Pied piper unit 4

 In class we were told to get ourselves into pairs and create a duo sequence considering the following words-

-fall

-follow

-escape

-control 

-around 

-lead

-repeat

-control 

-entrapment 

We created this piece by firstly seeing which movements could represent theses words and then putting them in a sequence so that’s they could flow consistently.Ella and I made sure that we used plenty of fluid like movements and levels to portray how we both felt.I feel during the duo we used very risky movement pieces which considered trust,me and Ella decided to use a trust fall therefore I had to build up my trust in Ella in order for this movement to look fluent and effective.

As a class we looked at some works of Pina Bausch so as a due we decided to use some of pina Bausch’s work to make our piece more effective.The work we explored was very animalistic which gave us ideas on how to behave and dance more like rats.

I feel like I have developed my skills in used of facial expression whilst performing,I also feel my timing and fluidity had improved a lot too.I feel as a whole the group improved on our projection and articulation.

Personally I feel I have worked well in this workshop,I communicated really well with my group and I have listened to what my group contributed.I also feel our piece has a very good and meaningful meaning to it it’s shown us as a group aswell as the audience just how toxic and fake social media can be.

I think that I need to majorly improve on my confidence I always think that I can’t do things so then when I get to it I start to panic,if I where to improve on my confidence I feel the duo piece would look a lot better.
